No trees are cut down in the manufacture of the ecological urns. The organic paper is produced from the bark of the Mulberry tree. This is peeled off the tree, after which new bark grows again. A sustainable production process since it is a fast-growing and renewable resource. The tree bark is then boiled in large boilers to form a paper pulp to which fibers of banana leaf are added. The pulp is then applied, by hand, to so-called scoop frames. Finally, the paper sheets are placed in the sun to dry, eventually to be made into memory products.
