Corten steel, also known as COR-TEN steel, is a metal alloy of iron with copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel and chromium. This steel is known for its striking, warm brown rust colour, which is created by exposure to various weather conditions. This product is therefore perfect for outdoor use. Exposure to weathering actually strengthens the steel, and the natural rust layer provides protection against further corrosion. Corten steel therefore guarantees a long lifespan.
 
This large, stylish corten steel garden ornament is designed in the shape of a tear, subtly symbolising the feelings of loss and remembrance. By filling it with a beautiful plant, the ornament becomes an atmospheric addition to the garden rather than a recognisable urn. The ornament is also available in two smaller versions.
